THE HOLY SCRIPTURE
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are the verbally inspired word of God. These scriptures are inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and are the only authority we have for faith, practice and what we teach (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
God
We teach that there is but one God, the creator, preserver and ruler, of all things. We teach that God eternally exist in one essence yet has manifested his deity to us as The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy. 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-6,14,18,21-22; Mark 12:29 32, John 6:27; Ro. 1:7; John 1:1; 14:9-11, 20:28; Heb. 1:8; I John 5:7,8; Phil. 2:6 Mat. 28:19; Acts 5:4,9; I John 5:7,8).
CREATION OF MAN AND HIS FALL
We teach that everyman descended from the first man, Adam who was created by God, in the image of God and for the glory of God. That Adam was given free will by God but, used his free will to sin against God bringing sin and death into the world. For this cause all men are born into this world as sinners and need of a savior. (Gen. 1:27; 5:1; 1 Cor. 11:7; Rom. 6:23; 3:10; 8:7; Gal. 3:22; Ps. 14 :1, 3, Eph. 2:1, 53:1, Mark 10:18, Rom. 3:12).
SALVATION
We teach that the fall of man was so catastrophic that only God can save him. For this reason, God, by his eternal mercy, has provided for fallen mankind salvation through his only begotten Son Jesus. That Jesus was born of a virgin Mary, lived a perfect and sinless life, was hated in the world, found guilty of crimes he was not guilty of, was arrested, condemned, and was put to death on a Roman cross. He was then laid to rest in a borrowed tomb and on the third day he rose again victorious over sin, death, hell, and the grave. (Is. 9:6; Is. 53, John 1:29, 3:16, 10:17; Rom. 1:16;).
SALVATION APPLIED
We teach that all men who come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, by the faith of Jesus Christ, receives forgiveness of sins and eternal life. That this faith and this repentance are gifts of God promised to his elect people before the foundation of the world. (John 1:12; 3:36; 6:27-29, Acts 10:43, Eph. 1:4, Eph 2:8-10).
THE LIFE OF A CHRISTIAN
We teach that the Christian life is not a life of perfection but rather the life of new direction. This new direction is a life of faith and repentance. While the Christian may stumble in his new direction he will never fall fatally as his life is kept by the power of his redeemer. The true Christian will be possessed with an insatiable desire to love God, know God, worship God and to make God known. (Matt. 22:37; Php 3;10; John 4:23; Rom. 4:20; php2:9-11; I Cor. 10:31).
THE CHURCH
We teach that all who place their faith in Christ Jesus are immediately placed by the Holy Spirit into the body of Jesus Christ. That this body of Jesus Christ is called the Church of the living God. That Jesus is the head of the church, the body of Christ. ( I Cor. 12:12-13, 2 Cor. 11:2; Eph. 5:23-32)
THE LOCAL CHURCH
We teach that God has ordained the local visible church for his invisible Church to meet corporally for worship. It is in the local church where the people of God are to receive instruction from the word of God for living the Christian life. We teach that the local church is the only means by which God has chosen to build up the children of God into a strong, healthy, vibrant, God glorifying body. (Eph. 4:11- 16, 2 Cor. 3:6,8; 2 Cor. 4:1, 2 Tim 2:2; 2 Cor. 5:18).
Summary
This brief statement does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe. The elders affirm this statement of faith as things we believe and teach.
For further identification of our faith and practice we are pleased to identity with our brothers in Christ that hold to the 1689 Baptist Confession of faith, the New Hampshire Confession of Faith, The Baptist Faith, and Message.
